Victor Vescovo is a millionaire undersea explorer that I’ve only recently heard of. The Dallas-born native has stakes in Insight Equity Holidays after snagging a bachelor degree in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University, one of the leading educational institutions in the United States of America which was followed by a master’s degree in Defense and Arms Control Studies from MIT, and then an MBA from Harvard.

This is a learned man. Or at the very least, a very curious, ambitious, and scholarly kind of man. Or just very rich.

As one journalist noted, observed and experienced, the shuttered stores, emptied out streets, lack of human activities in downtown Tonga was no excuse not to embark on an adventure. Even King Tupou VI strolled out onto the front of his palace oceanfront to observe the quaint sight.

As understood, some people spend their time crawling the malls with their children, buying school supplies and doing their best to get discounts off their weekend purchases. Well-to-do men like these do none of these and instead specializes on out-of-the-ordinary, expensive, and passion-driven trips off in far-flung places on planes of their fancies.

And in this case, underwater explorations, including the Titanic shipwreck.
